Hospital Ministry

JEREMIAH 30:17- FOR I WILL RESTORE HEALTH UNTO THEE, AND I WILL HEAL THEE OF THY WOUNDS.

The Hospital Ministry is an outreach of Restoration Temple A.O.G. which is geared to fulfill The Great Commission of Jesus Christ outlined in Matthew 28:19-“Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to the poor.” We also believe Isaiah 61:1-2 and Luke 4:18-19 which says, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor, he hath sent me to heal the broken hearted, to preach deliverance to the captive and recovering of sight to the blind; to set at the liberty them that are bruised and to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.”

The Hospital Ministry mainly visits patients at the Kings County Hospital on Fridays during the 6:00pm-8:00pm visiting hours to share tracts, encourage and pray for the sick. We feel that we should cater to both the spiritual and physical needs of the patients. We also visit other hospitals upon request.

During our time of ministering to the patient, we take the opportunity to witness to visiting family members and friends.

As a group, we feel that we should always be equipped to deal with any situation we may encounter on our visits. Thus we set aside time to pray and study God’s Word before going out.

The Bible says, “Beloved I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health even as thy soul prospereth.” We make it our duty to pray consistently for the health of our Bishop, our Pastors and the Restoration family. A wounded or unhealthy soldier is an ineffective soldier.

When a patient leaves the hospital (member or non-member of Restoration Temple), and that person desires follow-up visits, we refer them to the Shut In Ministry. This ministry is specifically geared to home visits.
