Bishop John Cummings

Senior Pastor

In 1961, in Guyana, South America, GOD placed His Hands on Bishop John Cummings and he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. For the next 10 years, Bishop Cummings serve his church family at the Eccles AOG, as a Worship Leader, a Deacon, and a Minister to the satellite churches that grew out of his home Church. In 1971 Bishop John was called to Pastor the Newtown AOG church, and in 1977 was ordained as a Pastor with the AOG of Guyana, SA. The Lord blessed NAOG, and the church grew exponentially and this gave Bishop John recognition throughout Guyana and the Caribbean, and he became a frequent guest speaker at many outreach meetings and conferences.

In 1985 Bishop John was elected to the position of Assistant Superintendent of the Assemblies Of God in Guyana, SA. Bishop served well in this position until his migration to the USA in 1988.

In 1988 Bishop migrated with his Family to the USA where he pioneered the RESTORATION TEMPLE INC., AOG church. The Lord blessed the Ministry and the Church. In 1992 RTAOG joined the fellowship of the NY District of the AOG and Bishop John was recognized as a pastor with the NYMN AOG. Bishop John subsequently became a Presbyter of the NYMN Brooklyn/Staten Island and later became the Executive Presbyter of the District for about 3 years.

After serving his terms in those positions Bishop John focused his ministry on RTAOG and the Missionary Call that was on the Church. Bishop John and various leaders of RTAOG have traveled to different countries in the Continent of Africa, to India, to Asia, to the Caribbean and South America. Bishop John was subsequently asked to serve as the President of the Caribbean Fellowship of the AOG, and now serves on the General Presbytery of the AOG, USA.

Bishop John has been married for 49 years to Margaret, and out of this union came six children, three daughters-in-law, and five grandchildren. Bishop has seen them all serve closely with him in the Ministry.

Assistant Pastors

Rev. Cecil Moonsam

Rev Cecil Moonsam has been in Ministry for 45 years and is currently involved in several areas of Ministry which includes, Men’s Ministry, Christian Counseling, Bible School Teacher with the Global University program and Coordinator for the extended Bible School which covers training outside of the USA.

In Guyana, where he was born, Rev Moonsam attended Bible School and there he received his Christian Workers Diploma. He then furthered his studies by attending Ministerial Training from which he obtained his Degree in Theology and Counseling.

In 1988, Rev Moonsam along with his family, migrated to the USA and from that time present has been a member and Pastor of RTAOG. In 1993, Rev Moonsam became an ordained Minister with the New York Ministry Network of the Assemblies of God, and is currently serving as the Presbyter of the NYMN Brooklyn/Staten Island Section covering approximately Churches and 55 Ministries. Rev Moonsam also serves as the President of the Clergy Council of the 69th Precinct in Canarsie, Brooklyn NY, NYPD Clergy Liaison, and NYPD Ceasefire Program.

Married for 41 years to his wife, Rosalind, who is also actively serving several areas of Ministry which includes Women’s Ministry and NYMN Girls Ministry. Rev Moonsam is blessed with a God fearing family which consists of two daughters, a son-in-law, and a granddaughter who all serve faithfully in Ministry.

Rev. Coowar Singh

He joined Restoration Temple in 1996. Prior to that, he worked as Associate Pastor at Christian Community Fellowship Church in Queens, New York for thirteen years. His main roles comprise those of preacher, teacher, and missionary. Pastor Singh was born and raised in East Berbice-Corentyne, Guyana🇬🇾 . He officially obtained his ordination as Minister with Assemblies of God in 2011.

He is happily married to Roxanne Singh (née Smith), an early childhood teacher with the New York City Department of Education. Together they have three children, LaDonna, Lee, and Laura, along with four grandchildren

 

Rev. Richard Thomas

Rev Richard Thomas Has been in Ministry for 40 years and currently serves as a pastor at RTAOG. Rev Thomas accepted Jesus in 1980, and because of his passion for the things of God, 1 year later was elected to the board of Deacons at Newtown AOG, Guyana in 1981. In 1986 he was then promoted to the office of Elder at the same Church.

In 1988, Rev Thomas migrated with his family, to the USA and subsequently became a member of RTAOG. He later became a Deacon and then an Elder of RTAOG, and taught the Adult Sunday school class, the New Believers class and the New Members class. From 1995, Rev Thomas has served with the Children’s Relief Ministry of RTAOG which has traveled to several countries in the Caribbean and also to Guyana sharing the Love of Jesus through ministry of God’s Word and giving of much needed gifts and school supplies. Rev Thomas has also traveled to Haiti and India teaching and training Pastors.

In 2014, Rev Thomas became a Pastor at RTAOG and was ordained with the NYMN Assemblies of God in 2018. Rev Thomas currently serves as departmental Head of the Membership Department, the Children’s Relief Ministry and the Scholarship Ministry of RTAOG.

Rev Thomas has been married for more than 40 years to his wife, the Late Bridgette (1951-2020), and from that union has produced four children and two grandchildren.

Rev. Keith Holder

Rev. Keith Holder is a credentialled minister and member of the Assemblies of God General Council.

He leads the Christian Education Department (CED) of Restoration Temple, which includes ministries such as Sunday School, Children’s Church and Vacation Bible School. Pastor Keith (as he is commonly referred to,) is a graduate of the Assemblies of God Bible Institute of Georgetown, Guyana, and NYSOM, and holds graduate and undergraduate degrees in Business Administration and Accountancy. He is bi-vocational being secularly employed as a Certified Public Accountant.

With a strong background in youth leadership, Pastor Keith’s passion is focused on equipping believers in acquiring the fundamentals of Bible-centered Christian education and discipleship in order to respond to the Great Commission of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Pastor Keith is also the Sectional Representative for the CED of the Brooklyn/Staten Island section of the Assemblies of God, New York Network.

He is the husband of one wife, Ruth, and father of 3 children, Keith Jr., Kevin and Keeva.
